The ratio between breath and the perimeter of a rectangle is 2:10 . Find the ratio between the length and the breath of the rectangle​

Answer:

We know that Perimeter of Rectangle = 2*(L + B) ………. eq. 1

And it is given B:P = 2:10 => P = 5B.

On putting value of P in eq. 1,

5B = 2L + 2B

=> B = 2L/3

And Area of rectangle = L*B = 428

=> L*2L/3 = 428

=> L^2 = 642

which means L = 25.34 cm
