The ratio between the base and height of a triangular field is 3:2. The cost of cultivating the field at RS.65 per sq. m is RS.3,12,000. Find the base and the height.

Answer:

area of that triangular field=312000/65

=4800m^2

let the ratio be x

base=3x

height=2x

1/2×b×h=area of triangle

1/2×b×h=4800

1/2×3x×2x=4800

1/2×6x^2=4800

6x^2=4800×2

6x^2=9600

x^2=9600/6

x^2=1600

x=√1600

x=40

base=3x

=3×40

=120m

height=2x

=2×40

=80m
