Dear Student,

◆ Answer -

r = 6 cm

h = 15 cm

● Explanation -

Let x be some random variable such that r = 2x and 5x.

Curved surface area of the cylinder is -

CSA = 2πrh

3960/7 = 2 × 22/7 × 2x × 5x

3960/7 = 440/7 x^2

x^2 = (3960/7) / (440/7)

x^2 = 9

x = 3 cm

So now,

r = 2x = 2×3 = 6 cm

h = 5x = 5×3 = 15 cm

Hence, radius of cylinder is 6 cm and height of cylinder is 15 cm.

Thanks dear. Hope this helps you...
