The mass number of an element=N(no. of protons+P(no. of neutrons)
Mass no. of C=12
No. of protons=Atomic no.=6
No. of neutrons in carbon=12-6=6
Similarly
Mass no. of Si=28
No. of protons of Si=14
No. of neutrons in Si=28-14=14

Ratio of neutrons=6/14=3/7. Ans
