For example let's multiply 3 and 4 with 12 we get 36 and 48, 36 and 48 are in the ratio of 3 : 4. The problem here is with what number should 3 and 4 be multiplied so that sum of those numbers will be 105. Let us say that number is x. So the numbers are 3x and 4x . Now sum of those numbers is

3x+4x=105

7x=105

x=105/7=15.

So the numbers are

3×15=45 and 4×15=60.

60 and 4 5 are in the ratio of 3 : 4 and their sum is 105.
