Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present age of P and Q be 3x and 4x respectively.

Q's present age is 20yrs (given)

then, 4x = 20

x = 20/4

x = 5

By substituting the value of x in P's present age we get,

3x = 3 * 5 = 15

So P's and Q's present ages are 15 and 20 respectively.

After five yrs, their ages will be P's = 15+5 = 20 and Q's = 20+5 =25

Their ages in ratio will be 20/25

i.e. 4/5 ( answer )
