hey mate!!!!

here goes your answer!!

let present age of p = x and that of q = y

so , atq , ratio of their ages = 5 :8

x/y = 5/8

8x = 5y

x=5y/8                             eq 1

after  4yrs , their age are : p= x+4 and q = y +4

atq , ratio = 2:3

x+4 /y+4 = 2/3

3 (x+4) = 2(y+4)

3x +12 = 2y +8

now put the value pf x from eq 1

3 (5y/8) +12 = 2y +8

15y - 4 = 2y +8

y = 32 yrs..

so present age of q is 32 years

hope it helps !!!

thnx :}

answer is 32

Step-by-step explanation:

trick.

p:q:difference

present age. 5r:8r: 3 cross multiple both

after 4 years 2r:3r: 1 ratios

again new ratio.

present age. 5r:8r

4 years. 6r:9r

1r is 4

then. r*4

atq. present age q is r*4

=8*4=32
