Let the present ages of son and father be 5x and 7x respectively.
:. Afters 8 years son's age will be (5x+8) years
But given age =28 years.
5x+8=28
=>x=4
.: The present age of father is 7x i.e. 7×4 =28 years.
Hence 6 years ago father's age was
