4x×1x=196
so
4x=196
x=196/4
x=49 therefore after five years their age will be
4×49+5and 1×49+5 therefore
201:54
67:18

expertgenius1: sorry i made a mistake
jake666: but its not the right answer
jake666: ok..thn rewrite it pls.
expertgenius1: yes
expertgenius1: 4x×x=196 so 4x^2=196 and then x^2=196/4 =√49= 7 so 4×7+5 : 7+5
siddhartharao77: Seems like there is a mistake.

let x be the son's age

from first condition

man's age = 4 * x

from second condition
(4*x) * x = 196
4x² = 196
x² = 49
x = 7

therefore current age of the son is 7 years and current age of man is (7*4) 28

after 5 years

son's age = 7 + 5 = 12 yrs
man's age = 28 + 5 = 33 yrs
ratio of man's age to son's after 5 years will be (33/12) 11/4

hope it answers your query

AtharvaMalji: jake you solved it faster mate, good job
jake666: thank u..i got it...
