Hey There! This is your solution____________

Given that,
Ratio of apple to orange = 4:9
No of apple = 250 more than orange

Now,
Let the number of apple and orange be 4x and 9x.

Then,
4x = 250 + 9x
4x - 9x = 250
-5x = 250
x = (250/-5)
x = -50

But, Number of apple and oranges can't be in in negative.
Therefore,
Number of apples (4x) = 200
Number of oranges (9x) = 450

Step-by-step explanation:-

  • Let the ratio be 4x (apples) and 9x (oranges)

  • Given that, there are 250 more aples than oranges => 4x + 250

4x + 250 = 9x

4x - 9x = 250

-5x = 250

-x = \frac{250}{5}

-x = 50

  • But, the number of fruits can't be negative.

  • So,

\boxed{x \: = \: 50} </p><p>

  • No. of apples => 4x + 250 => 4 × 50 + 250 => 200 + 250 => 450
