Answer: 75

Step-by-step explanation:

Total strength after addition of Girls: 375

Ratio of boys to girls : 7:8

Total number boys : = 375 * 7/15 = 175

Total number girls : 200

Earlier the ratio is 7:5. Let x be the total number of students earlier

So, 7*x/12 = 175

x = 175*12/7 = 300

Total number girls earlier = 300 -175 = 125

Number of girls added = 200 - 125 = 75

first number of boys = 7x

first number of girl= 5x

new number of boys=7y

number of girls= 8y

7y+8y=375

15y = 375

y=25

new number of girls = 25×8

=200

number of boys remain same

there for 7 x = 7 y

original number of boys=7×25

=175

175÷5x=7÷5

x=25

original number of girls=5×25

=125

number added to the group=200-125

= 75
