Given :-

  • ratio of boys and girls in camp is 7:5
  • total boys in camp = 49

To Find :-

  • how many girls are there in the camp ?

Solution :-

let the no. of girls and boys are 7x and 5x

and it is given that, there are 49 boys in the camp

 \bold{: \implies 7x = 49 } \\ \\ \bold{: \implies x = \cancel \frac{49}{7} } \: \\ \\ \bold{: \implies x = 7} \: \: \: \: \:

so, no. of girls = 5 × 7 = 35

hence, there are 35 girls in the summer camp.
