the ratio is 4:3
let X be the common multiple of this ratio
so the proportion of copper is 4x and proportion of zinc is 3x
now the weight of alloy is given i.e. 413g
so we get,
4x + 3x = 413
7x = 413
X=413/7
X=59
3x = 59*3 = 177
4x = 59*4 = 236
so the proportion of copper is 236g
and proportion of zinc is 177 g
hope it is right and helpful.....
