According to question,

case 1, x/y=13/7

therefore x=13y/7......(i)

case 2, x=300+y......(ii)

Now, putting value of equation (i) in equation (ii),we get;

13y/7=300+y

or, 13y=7(300+y)

or, 13y=2100+7y

or, 6y=2100

or, y=2100/6

therefore, y=350 rupees

so, x=300+350=650 rupees
