The ratio of flour to syrup to make a sweet is 7 :13 . The syrup has sugar and water in the ratio is 2 : 3 .
What fraction of the sweet is syrup? What percentage of the sweet is syrup?

Solution :-

→ Flour : Syrup = 7 : 13

so,

  • Flour in sweet = (7/20)
  • Syrup in sweet = (13/20)

therefore, (13/20) fraction of the sweet is syrup.

also,

→ % of sweet is syrup = (13 * 100) / 20 = 65%

Hence, 65% of the sweet is syrup.
