The ratio of ghe length of a school ground to its width is 5:3. find its length if the width of the ground is 45 metres​

Given :

  • Length to its width = 5 : 3
  • width = 45 m

To find :

  • Length of the School Ground

According to the question :

Let the length be ' x meters '

Then, the ratio of Length to width will be = x : 45

✯ But Ratio given = 5 : 3

Equation will be :

⟹ x : 45 = 5 : 3

⟹ x / 45 = 5 / 3

Solving Equation :

✯ Using - Product of Extreme = Product of Mean / Cross Multiplying

⟹ x × 3 = 45 × 5

⟹ 3x = 225

⟹ x = 225 / 3

x = 75

∴ Length of the School Ground = 75 meters

So, It's Done !!
