Let their common ratio be x. Number of boys is equal to 2x which is 16 so x is equal to 8.So number of girls is 3x which is 3*8 is equal to 24.

let the no. of boys be 2x

according to question.

2x=16

x=16/2

x=8

therefore no. of girls =8x3
=24

answer=24 girls
