- In the formation of ethene molecule, there are 2 C atoms and 4 H atoms.

- 3 orbitals of each carbon atom undergo sp2 hybridisation and 1 orbital remains unhybridised.

- Each H atom has 1 unhybrid orbital.

- So there are total 6 unhybrid orbital and 6 sp2 hybrid orbitals.

- Hence the ratio is 1:1.
