The ratio of  income to expenditure of a family is given to be 7:6

Also, the income is given to be ₹14000

Let the income and expenditure be 7x and 6x

so, 7x = 14000

       x = 14000/7

        x = 2000

So, expenditure = 6x

                          = 6 × 2000

                         = 12,000

Now, we will find the savings

Savings = Income - expenditure

             = 14000 - 12000

             = 2000

Hence, the savings of the family will be ₹ 2000

Answer:

Savings = 2,000

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that ;

  • Income = 14,000

Income : Expenditure

  • Ratio : 7 : 6

Let the ;

Income be 7x

Expenditure be 6x

Savings = 7x - 6x = x

Income = 7x = 14,000

7x = 14,000

x = 2,000

Hence ;

Savings ( x ) = 2,000

Expenditure = 6x

6 ( 2,000 ) = 12,000

Proof :

Savings + Expenditure = Income

2,000 + 12,000

14,000
