Step-by-step explanation:

hey mate

ratio will be 3x,2x

ATQ

l×b=2400

3x×2x=2400

6x^2=2400

x^2=2400/6

x^2=400

x=√400

x=20cm

LENGTH=3×20=60CM

BREADTH=2×20=40CM

Given :-

  • The Ratio of Length and Breadth of a Rectangle is 3:2
  • Area of Rectangle = 2400cm²

 \\

To Find :-

  • Measures of its Length and Breadth

 \\

Solution :-

⟾ Let the Length of Rectangle be 3x

⟾ Let the Breadth of Rectangle be 2x

According to the Question :

➞ Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

➞ 2400 = 3x × 2x

➞ 2400 = 6x²

➞ 2400 / 6 = x²

➞ 400 = x²

➞ √400 = x

20 = x

________________

Verification :-

➞ Area of Rectangle = Length × Breadth

➞ Area of Rectangle = 3x × 2x

➞ Area of Rectangle = 3 × 20 × 2 × 20

➞ Area of Rectangle = 60 × 40

➞ 2400 = 2400

Hence Verified

________________

Therefore :

  • Length = 3x = 3 × 20 = 60cm
  • Breadth = 2x = 2 × 20 = 40cm

________________

Additional Info :

Formulas Related to Rectangle:

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 2( l + b)
  • Area = Length × Breadth
  • Length = Area / Breadth
  • Breadth = Area / Length
  • Diagonal = √(l)² + (b)²
