Given :-

  • The ratio of length and breadth of rectangular field is 4:3. It's perimeter is 56 m.

To find :-

  • Length of rectangle

Solution :-

Let the length be 4x and breadth be 3x

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 56m

As we know that

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Where " l " is length and " b " is breadth of rectangle

As per given condition

→ Perimeter of rectangle = 56

→ 2(l + b) = 56

→ 2(4x + 3x) = 56

→ 7x = 56/2

→ 7x = 28

→ x = 28/7

→ x = 4

Hence,

  • Length of rectangle = 4x = 16m
  • Breadth of rectangle = 3x = 12m

Verification :-

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 56

→ 2(l + b) = 56

→ 2(16 + 12) = 56

→ 2 × 28 = 56

→ 56 = 56

  • Therefore verified

AnsWer :

  • Let Length and Breadth of the reactangular field be 4x and 3x.

  • Perimeter = 56 m [Given]

____________________

According to Question now,

➸ Perimeter of reactangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

➸ 56 = 2 (4x + 3x)

➸ 56 = 2 (7x)

➸ 56 = 14x

➸ x = 56/14

x = 4 m

Therefore,

  • Length of the reactangular field = 4x = 4(4) = 16 m.
