the ratio of length of a vertical pole and its shadow on the ground 7:2.find the length of pole if the length of the shadow is 2.4m.

Here , length of pole AB = 7x. - eq ( 1 )
Length of shadow BC = 2x. - eq ( 2 )


Now , length of shadow BC = 2.4 from eq ( 2 )
.*. 2x = 2.4
.*. x = 24/2 x 10
.*. x = 8.4



Here , length of pole X = 8.4
