The ratio of length of diagonals of a rhombus is 4:7 if its area is 350cmsquare find its side.

area of rhombus=1/2×d1×d2
350=1/2×4x×7x (let the common multiple be x)
350=2x×7x
350=14x²
350/14=x²
25=x²
x=5
d1=4x=4×5=20
d2=7x=7×5=35
now half both the diagonals
they will be 10 and 17.5
the side will be the hypotenuse
x²=(10)²+(17.5)²
x²=100+306.25
x²=406.25
x²=20.1556444
