According to the Question :

13(6x + 12)  = 12(7x + 12)

78x + 156  = 84x +  144

156 - 144 = 84x -  78x 

  12         = 6x 

12/6  =x 

2 =x 



Hence, Present age of Meera = 6x =6(2) = 12 years
             Present age of Ritu    = 7x = 7(2) = 14 years
