Given ratio of income and savings = 7:2
Thus savings, 500 = (2/9)x
x = (500 x 9)/2 = 2250
Hence savings = Rs 2250 x 2 = Rs 4500
Income = 7 x Rs 2250 = Rs 15750
Expenditure = 15750 – 4500 = Rs 11250
