Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the original fraction be 5x and 3x

Now

5x+1/3x+3=3/2

2(5x+1)=3(3x+3)

10x+2=9x+9

10x-9x=9-2

x=7

Then

5x=5×7=35

3x=3×7=21

35/21

Hope this will help

Answer:

35/21

Step-by-step explanation:

Given The ratio of numerator and the denominator of friction is 5 :3 if 1 is added to the numerator and 3 is added to the denominator the new friction has value 3 upon 2 what is the original fraction

Let the fraction be x / y = 5 / 3.

 So 3 x = 5 y or x = 5 y / 3 --------(1)

According to question,

 x + 1 / y + 3  = 3 / 2

2 x + 2 = 3 y + 9

 3 y = 2 x - 7 ----------------(2)

Substituting (1) in (2) we get

 2 (5 y / 3) - 7 = 3 y

 10 y - 21 = 9 y

  y = 21----------------(3)

Substituting y in (1) we get

  3 x = 5 y

  3 x = 5 (21)

  x = 35

So the original fraction will be 35 / 21
