let the present of anjali be 2x and age of ashu be 3x,

after 5 years, the age of anjali will be (2x+5) and the age of ashu will be (3x+5)

now,

{2x+5}/{3x+5} = 3/4

cross multiply,

 4(2x+5) = 3(3x+5)

 8x + 20 = 9x + 15

 20-15 = 9x - 8x

5 = x

Now,

age of anjali = 2*5 = 10 years

and age of ashu = 3*5 = 15 years

 i hope this will help you

LET ANJALI BE X AND ASHU BE Y
X:Y=2:3
X=2/3Y

 five years hence the ratio of their age will be 3:4
⇒[x+5/y+5]=3:4
⇒[2/3y +5/y+5]=3:4
⇒cross multiply[4(2/3y +5)=3(y+5)]
⇒8/3y+20=3y+15
⇒-1/3y=-5
-y=3*15
y=15

X=2/3Y
     =2/3*15
       =10
present age is 11 and 6 respectively.
