The ratio of present age of Ramesh and Mahesh is 5 : 7. After four years the ratio of their age will be 3 : 4. Find out their present age.

TO FIND OUT THEIR PRESENT AGE.

Let,

the present age of ramesh be = 5x

the present age of mahesh be = 7x

after four years,

age of ramesh will be = 5x + 4

age of mahesh will be = 7x + 4

 \frac{5x  + 4}{7x + 4}  =  \frac{3}{4}

4( 5x + 4 ) = 3 ( 7x + 4 )

20x + 16 = 21x + 12

4 = x

age of ramesh = 5(x) = 5(4) = 20

age of mahesh = 7x = 7(4) = 28

Therefore,

present age of ramesh will = 20 years

Present age of mahesh will = 28 years
