The ratio of present ages of A amd B is 4:5.If 18 years ago, this ratio was 11:16 then find the sum of their present ages

let their present ages be x

A=4x

B=5x

present ratio =4:5

ratio 18 years ago =11:16

their present ages = 4x-18/5x-18=11/16

= 16(4x-18)=11(5x-18)

= 64x-288=55x-198

= 64x-55x=288-198

= 9x=90

= x=10

A=4x=4*10=40 years

B=5x=5*10=50 years

Their present ages sum = 40+50

= 90
