According to the question :

Let the present age of both be ' x '

☞ Sam = 3x

☞ Lisa = 4x

Sam = 6 years and 9 months

=> 1 year = 12 months

=> 12 × 6 + 9

=> 72 + 9

=> 81.

Sam :

81 / 3x

=> x = 81 / 3

=> x = 27.

Lisa :

4x

=> 4 × 27

=> 108. ( 1 year = 12 months )

=> 108 / 12

=> 9 years.

Therefore, Lisa is 9 years

old.
