Solution

Given :-

  • The ratio of speeds of two vehicles is 2:3
  • If the first vehicle covers 50 km in 3 hours

Find :-

  • Distance coverd by second vehicle .

Explantion

Let,

  • Speed of first vehicle = 2x
  • Speed of second vehicle = 3x

Using Formula

Speed = Distance/Time

For, first vehicle

==> Speed of first vehicle = 50/3 km/h

==> 2x = 50/3.

==> x = 50/(2×3)

==> x = 25/3 km/h

Now, Calculate , Speed of second vehicle

==> Speed of second vehicle = 3x

keep value of x .

==> Speed of second vehicle = 3 × 25/3

==> Speed of second vehicle = 25 km/h

Hence

  • Speed of second vehicle will be = 25 km/h .
