so present sum = 46-(5+5)= 36year.
:(4+5)= 36
:9= 36
:1= 36/9= 4
so their present ages
Kapil= 4×4= 16 years
Renu= 4×5= 20years

Let the ratio be x
So
Age of kapil=4x
Age of renu =5x
After five years age sum =46
So
4x+5x+5=46
9x=41
x=41/9
X=4

So
Age of kapil is4x=4*4=16
Age of renu =5x=5*4=20
After 5 years age is
16+5=21 is the present age of kapil
20+5=25 is the present age of renu
