Let area of first circle be A1 and second circle be A2.
Area of a circle is pie(r^2).
Let the radius of 1st circle be r1 and 2nd circle be r2.
A1/A2 = (r1)^2/(r2)^2 [ pie gets cancelled]
A1/A2 = (3)^2/(4)^2
A1/A2 = 9/16.
Hence the ratio between the areas is 9:16

let the ratio be x as 3x:7x and then put it in formula circumference of circle =2 pi r ,where 2r=d
