In this case we consider the qarallelogram a rectangle

so lengths are

2x and 5x

perimeter = 2(l+b)

84 = 2(2x+5x)

84 = 14x

84/14=x

x = 6

so the length are 12 and 30 by putting the value of x

Answer

If the two sides have a ratio of 3:4 that means their sides can be represented as  3x and 4x.

⇒  Perimeter of parallelogram =2(3x)+2(4x)

⇒  112=6x+8x

⇒  112=14x

⇒  x=8cm

The length of the sides are,

⇒  3x=3×8cm=24cm

⇒  4x=4×8cm=32cm

∴  The length of the smallest sides of the parallelogram is 24cm
