the ratio of the length of a playground to its width is 5:3 find the width of its length is 40 metres​

let the width be x

5:3 = 40:x

5x = 40 × 3

x = 24 m

so the width is 24 meters

Answer:

if the width is 40 m

then we will multiply 40  with 5 which is 200

  1. then we will multiply 40 with 3 which is 120...........so
  1. 200-120= 80 which is our answers
