Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Ratio of Length to Breadth = 5:3

Perimeter of the rectangle = 35 cm

To find :

The dimensions of the rectangle

Solution :

Let the -

• Length be 5y

  • Bredth be 3y

★ Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

  • 35 = 2(5y + 3y)

  • 35 = 10y + 6y

  • 35 = 16y

  • y = 35 /16

⇒ y = 2

★ Value of 5(y)

5(2)

→ 10

Length = 10cm

★ Value of 3y

› 3(5)

→ 15

Breadth = 15 cm

The Length is 10 cm and Breadth is 15 cm.
