Solution :

The ratio of the length to the perimeter of a rectangle is 7 : 20 .

Let us assume that the length of the rectangle is l meters and the breadth is b meters .

Perimeter of rectangle :

》2[ Length + Breadth ]

Now , it is given that the perimeter is 120 m.

> 2( Length + Breadth ) = 120

> Length + Breadth = 60 m

Length : Perimeter = 7 :20

> Length : 120 =7/20

Length = 42 m

Thus , the breadth of the rectangle is 18 m .

This is the required answer.

Answer:

Given :-

  • Ratio of Length and Perimeter = 7:20
  • Perimeter = 120 cm

To Find :-

Breadth

Solution :-

As we know that

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

L + B = 60

Length/120 = 7/20

L = 120 × 7/20

L = 42 m

B = 18 cm
