\mathfrak{Question:}

The ratio of monthly income to the savings in a person is 6:5 if the saving be Rs.2000,find the monthly income ?

\mathfrak{Solution:}

Let the monthly income and saving in a person be Rs. 6x and Rs. 5x respectively.

\mathfrak{Given\;in\;the\;question:}

  • The savings of the person = Rs. 2000.

\mathfrak{According\;to\;question:}

\implies\tt{5x = 2000}\\\\\\\implies\tt{x=\dfrac{2000}{5}}\\\\\therefore\qquad \tt{x=400.}\\\\\\\boxed{\textsf{Expenses = Total income - Savings}}\\\\\\\tt{So}

\boxed{\boxed{\mathsf{Monthly\; Income=6x=6*400=Rs.2400.}}}
