hence chocolates with a are 2x.....

chocolates with b are 4x....

second statement tells....a gives 4 chocolates hence (2x-4).....b receives 4 chocolates hence (4x+4).....new ratio is 5x and 9x

hence,

2x-4/4x+4 = 5x/9x

18x² - 36x = 20x² + 20x

-56x = 2x²

hence x is 28

initial chocolates are 56 and 112
