Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the present ages of tow friends be x and y

The ratio of present ages = 1:2

x : y = 1:2 then x/y = 1/2

2x = y

The ratio of ages tow friends before six years is 1:4

(x-6) : (y-6) = 1:4

x-6/y-6 = 1/4

4(x-6) = y-6

4x - 24 = 2x - 6

2x - 18 = 0

X = 9

Then substitute x = 9 in 2x =y

2(9) = y then y = 18

Then the ratios of two friends after six years is (x+6) : (y+6)

9+6 : 18+6 = 15 : 24

Therefore the ratio of tow friends after six years is 15 : 24
