let the price of first book =2x

let the price of second book =5x

if 2x=32.50

then,

on transposing 2 to right hand side we get

X=32.50 /2

X=16.25

if value of X =16.25

then the cost of second book

= 5 X which is equal to 5 X x

=5 X 16.25

=81.25rupees
