Answer:

Given :-

The ratio of the prices of two computers is 3:2.

The price of 1st computer is 55000 dollars

To find :-. a) What is the price of 2nd computer? b) If the price of 2nd computer is 2000 dollars more, then what will be the ratio of the price of the two computers?

Solution :-

a) Let the cost of second computer be x.

Therefore ,

2 : 3 :: 55000 : x .......(Given)

Product of extremes = Product of mean.

2x = 55000 x 3

x = 1650000 / 2

x = 82500 dollars

b) Increasing the price of second computer by 2000 = 84500 dollars.

The ratio will be 169 : 110.

Answer :- Cost of second computer is 82500 dollars. The next ratio will be 169 : 110.
