Answer:

Solution

let the no. be 5x and 7x

adding 6 in both

5x+6/7x+6

apq

5x+6/7x+6=7/9

9(5x+6)=7(7x+6)

45x +54=49x+42

54-42=49x-45x

12=4x

x=3

\textbf {\underline {\underline {Step-By-Step\:Explanation}}}:

\huge\pink {\tt Given:}

  • Ratio of two numbers = 5 : 7
  • After adding 6 to both the no. ratio becomes 7 : 9

\huge\pink {\tt To\:Find\: : }

  • Both the numbers

\huge\underline\green {\tt Solution:}

Let the common factor be x

So,

the numbers wil be 5x and 7x

Ratio of both the numbers = \dfrac {5}{7}

After adding 6 on both the sides

we get,

\dfrac {5x\:+6}{7x\:+6} = \dfrac {7}{9}

After cross multiplying :

9 ( 5x + 6 ) = 7 ( 7x + 6 )

➡ 45x + 54 = 49x + 42

➡ 54 - 42 = 49x - 45x

➡ 12 = 4x

➡ x = \dfrac {12}{4}

•°• x = 3

Hence,

The required numbers :

➡ 5x = 5 × 3 = 15

7x = 7 × 3 = 21
