:
- Ratio of two numbers = 5 : 7
- After adding 6 to both the no. ratio becomes 7 : 9
- Both the numbers
Let the common factor be x
So,
the numbers wil be 5x and 7x
Ratio of both the numbers =
➡ After adding 6 on both the sides
we get,
=
➡ After cross multiplying :
9 ( 5x + 6 ) = 7 ( 7x + 6 )
➡ 45x + 54 = 49x + 42
➡ 54 - 42 = 49x - 45x
➡ 12 = 4x
➡ x =
•°• x = 3
Hence,
The required numbers :
➡ 5x = 5 × 3 = 15
➡ 7x = 7 × 3 = 21
