Given

The ratio of two sides of a parallelogram is 2:3 and its perimeter is 60 cm.

To find

Find the side of a parallelogram.

Solution

  • Perimeter of Parallelogram = 60cm

Let the sides of llgm be 2x and 3x

→ 2(2x + 3x) = 60

→ 2*5x = 60

→ 10x = 60

→ x = 60/10 = 6cm

Sides of Parallelogram

→ 2x = 2*6 = 12cm

→ 3x = 3*6 = 18cm

Hence, 12cm and 18cm are the sides of Parallelogram.

NOTE :

() Perimeter of llgm = 2(a + b)

Given :-

Side of parallelogram are in ratio 2:3

and Its Perimeter is 60 cm

Find :-

Side of parallelogram

Solution :-

let \: the \: side \: of \: parallelogram \: 2x \: am \\ and \: 3x

Now Perimeter = 60 cm

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2( L + B )

Here , L = 2x and B = 3x

Put it in Given Formula

So The perimeter of parallelogram =

2 ( 2x +3x) = 60

2 (5x) = 60

10 x = 60

x = 60/10

x = 6

Now the sides are

3 x = B

3 × 6 = 18

B = 18 cm

And L = 2 x

L = 2 × 6

L = 12 cm

Thanks :)
