The ratio of two sides of a parallelogram is 3:5and it's perimeter is 48cm.find the sides of the parallelogram

Answer:

ratio given = 3:5

let the one side be = 3x

let the other side be = 5x

perimeter of parallelogram= 2( base+height)

perimeter= 48cm

48cm = 2(3x+ 5x)

48cm = 2(8x)

48cm = 16x

x= 48/16

x= 3cm

hence, 3x= 3×3= 9cm

5x=5×3= 15cm
