Volume of a sphere = 4/3 × πr³
Let the radius of fist sphere be r and second be R
=> Volume of first = 4/3 × πr³
Volume of second = 4/3 × πR³
Their ratios are given
=> 4/3 × πr³ : 4/3 × π R³ :: 1 : 27
Product of extreme = Product of mean
= 27 × 4/3 πr³ = 4/3 πR³ × 1
cancelling 4/3 π from both sides,
=> 27 r³ = R³
=> R = cube root (27 r³)
=> R = 3r
=> r = R/3
So ratio of their radius = r/R
=> r/3r
=> 1/3
=> 1 : 3
