Hii dear,
This question is about proportion of metals in an alloy.

# Answer- Weight of zinc = 245gm

# Exolaination-
Ratio of copper:zinc = 13:7
Considering x as common multiple
Weight of copper= 13x
Weight of zinc= 7x

Given is
Total weight of brass = 700gm
13x+7x=700
20x=700
x=35gm

Weight of zinc = 7x = 7×35
Weight of zinc = 245gm

Hope you got your answer...

Heya..

Here's your answer.....

Let the numbers in the ratio be 13x and 7x

It means weight of copper = 13x

Weight of zinc = 7x

Given, weight of brass = 700 gm

According to the question,

13x + 7x = 700

20x = 700

x = {700}/{20}

x = 35

Weight of copper = 13x = 13 × 35 = 455 grams

Weight of zinc = 7x = 7 × 35 = 245 grams

Thanks...!!!
