The ratio of zinc and copper in an alloy in 7:9 . If the weight of copper in the alloy is 11:6 kg . find the weight of zinc in the alloy

Answer:

Given that,

Weight of zinc =7x

Weight of copper =9x

Total weight of alloy

7x+9x = 11.7kg

x = 1.3 kg

Hence,

Weight of zinc =7×1.3=9.1 kg
