\underline{\mathfrak{Given:-}}\\\text{The ratio of zinc and copper in brass piece is 13:7.}\\\\\underline{\mathfrak{To\ find:-}}\\\text{The mass of Zinc present in 100 kg of such brass piece.}\\\\\underline{\mathfrak{Solution:-}}\\\text{Let the amount of Zinc and Copper be 13x and 7x respectively.}\\\text{Total Brass is 100 kg.}\\\text{So, 13x+7x=100}\\\text{20x = 100}\\\text{x = 100/20}\\\text{x = 5}

\text{Now, the mass of Zinc = 7x = 7*5 = }\boxed{35 kg}

Answer:

13 : 7

13x + 7x = 100 kg

20x = 100

x = 5 kg

Zinc=7×5=35 kg

∴ Zinc is 35 kg
