Solution!!

The ratio of the adjacent sides of a rectangle and the perimeter is given in the question.

Ratio = 2:3

Perimeter = 125 cm

Don't get confused. The adjacent sides are nothing else but the length and breadth of the rectangle.

So let the length be 2x and breadth be 3x, respectively.

Perimeter = 2(Length + Breadth)

125 cm = 2(2x + 3x)

125 cm = 2(5x)

125 cm = 10x

x = 125 cm ÷ 10

x = 12.5 cm

Length = 2x = 2 × 12.5 cm = 25 cm

Breadth = 3x = 3 × 12.5 cm = 37.5 cm
